The WordSlingers are
excited to offer one lucky business owner one month of free business writing services
Contest Rules
· All entries must be submitted via email to mary.crotty@thewordslingers.com by August 31st, 2008, or by filling out the simple online form.
·
Entries must include
the following information:
- Business Name and address
- Business Owner
- Website Address
- Contact name, phone number and email address
- A brief explanation of how and why your company would benefit from
a month of professional writing services
· Eligible businesses may be based anywhere in the United States but
must be willing to work with The WordSlingers via email and phone during their free month of services.
Ø Winning Entrant
·
The winner will be selected
at the sole discretion of The WordSlingers based on the entrants’ explanation for how they would benefit from the promotion.
·
The winner will be announced
on September 5th via phone, as well as via press release written by The WordSlingers with permission and related
information from the winner.
· The winning entrant must be willing to provide an appropriate contact and/or subject matter expert in order for The
WordSlingers to produce superior materials for the winner.
Ø Prize Details
· The free month of services includes the following:
1. A one hour consultation on the winner’s current
communications strategy and recommendations for services for the month.
2. The winner’s choice of one of the following:
·
One month’s issue
of online company newsletter (either already in existence or newly created by The WordSlingers) OR
·
Comparable 4-5 page
document needed by winning business.
3. Copy for one brochure OR sales sheet (winner
is responsible for print and distribution costs and logistics of same)
4. Copy for one sales letter (winner is responsible
for print and distribution costs and logistics of same)
5. Four hours of web content revision OR
blogging
6. One press release, in addition to winning announcement press release, to be used currently or in the future (winner
is responsible for distribution costs associated with online press release)
7. If the above listed services are not applicable
to the winner, a combination of comparable writing services can be discussed and mutually agreed upon by both parties.

Exclusions
·
Any documents produced
by The WordSlingers for the winning entrant must be business related.
· The WordSlingers will not write any inappropriate, illegal, pornographic
or otherwise questionable content for the winner.
· As indicated above, the prize includes written materials produced by
The WordSlingers – all distributions or printing costs as well as distribution logistics are the responsibility of the
winner.

Ownership of Written
Material
·
Upon final revision,
all documents and copy produced by The WordSlingers for the winner will become the property of the latter, however The WordSlingers
reserves the right to use documents or copy (with any proprietary information removed) as sample work in their portfolio.
